Smoky Romance Makeup

iStyle's very own Marissa Merritt put together a smoky, romantic makeup application. Here's what she had to say about it:

A little inspiration for the "Love Day" that is coming up. A nice smokey eye in which I only used liquid eyeliner, mascara ( Lash Blast, Voluminous False Lashes, and Maybelline's Falsies: Flared , and a thick charcoal eyeliner from the brand Wet and Wild. For the lips, I used a red lip liner and a maroon type of lipstick. I don't remember the brand for either. 

Tip of the Day: Never be afraid to use dark colors, Conquer your BOLDNESS  :)

The Native Look

A trend popular throughout UIUC has conjured up some controversy world wide.


The "native look," which places Native American prints on typical Western clothing, has rubbed some actual Native Americans the wrong way. The style's opposition has raised questions about who gets to represent the Native American community and, more so, profit from the sales of the pattern.
